Week of May 28

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  As we get closer to the end of the school year, I do want to acknowledge the on-going, behind-the-scenes work of some of our parents!  Today’s school assembly about Weather by the Franklin Institute marks the last of the year–Aimmee Powers and Julie Jellig have done a fantastic job lining up interesting programming for our students all year long.  Kelly Shirley coordinated our first-ever School Supply Sale with Staples–and will be helping to make sure your children’s kits are delivered directly to their classrooms over the summer.  Heather Hickey spearheaded our PTA Membership Drive, which has drawn more than 200 parent and teacher members.  And once again, Kryssy DeVivo served as Room Parent Coordinator and has been key in helping to organize holiday parties and getting important information out to parents.  Many thanks to all of you!!  Now, let the countdown to summer begin!!!

 

Two More Days To Submit Your Yearbook Orders (Due Friday June 1st).

Send in your Yearbook Order Forms!  We are really excited about this year’s edition, which is a beautiful 4-color book! Yearbooks are $18/book.  Checks (to the “EHS PTA”) can be sent to the main office in envelopes marked “PTA-Yearbook.” All yearbook orders are due by Friday, June 1st. Additional forms can be found here: Yearbook Order Form 2012. Mark Your Calendars for the Bookworm Assembly on Friday, June 1!

If your child completed a Bookworm for the School Library, then please remember that the celebratory assembly (for program participants and their families) is this Friday, June 1 at 1:45 p.m. in the APR.  Special guest author and illustrator Cathy Colborn will join us, and we will also be hearing a sampling of student work, read by the authors themselves.  See you there!

 

Permission Slips For 5th Grade Pool Party Now Available!

The EHS Class of 2012 will be ending the year with a bang…or at least a good soaking…at the Erlton Pool Club for the annual Haddonfield 5th Grade Pool Party.  The party is scheduled for Monday, June 18th from 1 – 3 p.m., and costs $5/student.  The mandatory Fifth grade Swim party-permission slip-2012 must be submitted by Wednesday, June 13th, through backpacks into the main office.
