Week of June 4

A huge thank you to our Bookworm Chairs: Diana Ellery, Laurie Verderame and Lauren Walsh.  This year, student authors published 66 books, and we celebrated their achievement last Friday with a special assembly.  The highlight was hearing some of the authors read their stories to the audience.  Really impressive!!! Remember that your children can check these books out of the library!  If your child participated in the program this year, please send the Bookworm book back into school this week, so the librarians can code them for library loan.

 

Surprise!! One Last Chance To Order Staples School Supply Kits (online only!)

We learn something new everyday. And today, it was that Staples has extended our School Supply Order deadline (for on-line orders only) through Friday, June 8.  Simply go to www.shopttkits.com and enter School Account #15228.  Lists are organized by grade level (including incoming Kindergarten).  For questions, please contact Kelly Shirley at kelshirley@comcast.net.

 

Fifth Grade Reminders!

Last Friday, all 5th graders should have received a 5th Grade Class Photo Order Form in backpacks. This picture, of all graduating 5th graders in their class t-shirts, costs $7. Please send in your form (with cash or checks made out to “EHS-PTA”) through backpacks in an envelope marked “5th Grade Class Photo” by Friday June 8th.

Also, mandatory permission slips for the 5th Grade Pool Party at Erlton are due to the main office by Wednesday June 13th. The party itself is Monday, June 18th, and the entrance fee is $5/student. Questions? Contact Katrina Rothstein at katrinarothstein@yahoo.com.
